The Children of the Circle web site is an informational site dedicated to the Mid South Pagan community and has been comprised of information and photos taken of rituals, festivals, celebrations and events in our area.

There will be a host of information that will be updated on an ongoing basis. We will try to keep an updated schedule of events and services available to the Pagan AND general public. There are many rituals, events and festivals that are open to the general public. Want to learn more or attend a function? Simply watch the schedule of events to find one near you, send an eMail requesting more information or directions if needed and we will be waiting with open arms.

There are two Pagan churches in the Mid South area and one of them has two locations. The first of the two churches is The Southern Delta Church of Wicca – ATC. The "original" or "initial" church if you will, is located in Brookland, Arkansas. It is nestled in the delta of NE Arkansas between Jonesboro and Paragould. The "Second" church is a new branch of The Southern Delta Church of Wicca - ATC that is located in Memphis Tn.

For years the SDCW - ATC operated in the NE Arkansas area and supported the Pagan needs from this single location. As the Pagan population and church membership has grown, there was a need to open a sister location in the Memphis Tn. area. Both locations offer rituals, classes, events and festivities. On occasion, the two churches combine forces to hold large group meetings, classes and events.

To find out which location is right for you as well as what the schedule holds, click on Services for the church schedule and the Home page for Highlighted News and Events. These two areas will display both locations schedules.

The second Pagan church is Summerland Grove and is also located in the Memphis area. Summerland Grove has been in the Memphis area for a number of years serving the Pagan community and although shares some of the same beliefs and ideas as the SDCW-ATC, is very much different.

Both churches are fantastic churches with a great multitude of knowledge. Their members operate in the community in a very close knit group. Both churches are as a single family unit when it comes to the community and strive to support one another at many events and festivals.

You will not find a better group of people in the Pagan community as we find in the Mid South area.

Among the two main church entities are many solitary practitioners, groups, and covens. All of which make up a vast amount of individuals that range from common blue collar workers to the professional white collar ranks of Doctors, Lawyers, Police Officers etc. This alone breaks the barriers originally thought of as the Pagan Community. Most of the general public always thought of the Pagan community as a group of small minded, illiterates on welfare and as it turns out, may make up more of a professional group of people than once thought after all. That's right! Now you may be in an accident and the officer taking the report is Pagan. Maybe the Doctor you are visiting, lawyer you have a meeting with, teacher that teaches at public school or business owner you are conducting business with ALL are now known Pagans. Now keep in mind that there are still those that are in the "closet" and wish to keep their path secret. This is not to say there is anything wrong with what they are doing, but due to their fears wish to keep their faith to themselves and do not want to have others in the general public label them or throw the proverbial stone their way. In saying that, we still have a lot of work to do.

WOW, what happened to the Bible Belt as you once knew it? Well, that all changed back in 1993 when a group of ministers approached a local occult shop owner and proceeded to kick him and his wife out of their business and out of their town. There was a freedom of religion march supported from all across America, World Wide attention and press and yeppers, this lead to many more people coming out of the "closet" and revealing their religious paths.

Now you have more Pagans ion the Mid South area than ever thought before. This has had dual effects in the area, but for the most part, there are more and more people now educated to who we are and what we do instead of "back room" stories to scare people from associating with a very loving group of people.

We hope you enjoy our site as we provide you with a portal into the Pagan community.

We feel all Pagans are Children of the Circle, hence this web sites name, "Children of the Circle."

We are a circle, within a circle, with no beginning and never ending as is the web and our Pagan community.

You will find the story of our long and ongoing struggle for religious freedom in the "Bible Belt". The March on Fort God - Paganism emerges in the "Bible Belt" video shows what we went through to practice our religion in an area that refused to honor our constitutional right to freedom of religion in 1993.

Knowledge equals No Fear. We hope by viewing this video, the education you gain will strengthen your own faith and eliminate the fear that has come from so many myths and urban legends.

-Our Mission-

Our mission is quite simple and straight to the point, yet totally against the grain of the majority, which many pagans find themselves the brunt of.

It is our goal to teach, inform and disseminate information to dispel the misbeliefs the majority have and hold for Wiccan's and all Pagans.

We will teach and guide those who seek a greater knowledge and understanding of the Wiccan and Pagan religion according to not only our traditions, but others as well.

It is our goal to help make the Pagan religion more accessible to the true seeker and help promote better relations with all religions.

Information, videos and more can be found within this site. We will be adding to our collection as it comes available. Check in and come back often. If you happen to be in the need for Pagan ritual tools and supplies, please stop by The Magick Moon. It is named after the infamous Magick Moon that caused so much trouble in 1993 that lead to the Freedom of Religion March.
